A Division of STATE INSURANCE FUND

The Joint Labor Management Committee between the NYSIF Management and PEF Division 240 was held on December 16, 2004 at 199 Church St, New York. NYSIF Executive Director Mr. Kenneth Ross along with Mr. DiMeglio, Director of Administration, Mr. Joseph Mullen, Director of Budget, Ms. Lefkowitz, Director of Personnel Operations, Ms. Najuma Herimaat, Director of Affirmative Action, Mr. Cliff Meister, Business Manager, Melville Office, Ms. Alice Siegel, Director of Labor Relations, Ms. Consulow Shaw of Labor Relations and Mr. Robert Cary and Administration Dept Watervliet Office attended from the Management side and the following L&M members of PEF Division 240 attended the meeting. Mr. Tom McKinney, Chair, L&M Committee (Rochester), Mr. Radhakrishna Mohan, Council Leader, Mr. Bernie Kahn, Executive Board Member, Ms. Jennifer Faucher, Executive Board Member & Regional Co-ordinator, Mr. Carl L Franklin, Executive Board Member, Mr. Teddy Vazquez(Melville), Mr. Mark Seidner(Melville),  Mr. Ed Krajewski (White Plains), Ms. Patricia Mason(Albany), Mr. Herb Hennings (Albany), Ms. Mary Lou Angarano (Syracuse), Ms. Sheryl Sperry (Syracuse) and Mr Carlos Arroyo, Field Representative from PEF.

 

Various Labor Management issues were discussed in detail and the next meeting date was scheduled for March 10, 2005 at NYSIF office at 199 Church St, NY.

 

Go Public Campaign: PEF conducted a rally in Albany on June 8, 2005 to pass the legislation regarding releasing information regarding consultants hiring and to make a cost-benefit analysis of the consultant hiring

 

Health & Saftey Conference: Some of our Council Members from  Division 240 participated in the joint Health & Safety Conference held in Albany on May 12-14, 2005. An Award has been presented to State Insurance Fund for their effective role in implementing safety features in the building at NYC.

SESSION UPDATE: Buffalo, Endicott, Melville and Syracuse has petitioned secede from PEF Diviison 240

                                       at the behest of few Shop Stewards. To keep our members informed about the impact of

                                       this secession and to inform the opinion of our experienced Steward and 

                                       Parliamentarian, Mr. Friedman has sent the following message that is being mailed to them.
